Halloween

Our little pumpkin, Rachel!

Luke wasn't feeling particular photogenic for Halloween, so really, this was the best that I could do. This was a last minute costume attempt since Luke hated his original puppy costume. Go AGGIES!

Well, he at least had fun in the balls at our church's Halloween Festival.

Rachel Lynn Haws arrives as a Texan!

It was an exciting Friday, 7 Sep 2007. Kelly said this was the day and she was right! Contractions started pretty regularly at 10 AM, then some Mexican lunch, and by 2 PM the doctor said to go to the hospital. Rachel Lynn was born at 7:36PM weighing 7 LBS 9 OZ and 20 inches long. We thank God that she is healthy and everything is going great. Kelly's parents have arrived to help us in this transition. Here are some pictures.
This is going to be fun (and a lot of work)!

Luke is going to be a great big brother.

Time to go home.

Karen and Dave are the first visitors to meet Rachel and help us by watching Luke for a day.

Kelly's mom dresses Rachel in the same outfit Kelly wore home from the hospital almost 30 years ago.

Eyes wide open thanks to Grandpa.

Luke see's Rachel for the first time.

Our little Princess and gift from God.

Those finger nails did some good work on her left cheek.

Grandpa does a good job getting Rachel to wake up and open her eyes.

1ST TEXAS RANCH VISIT: Texas A&M University hosted a welcome dinner for new faculty. It was located on a ranch outside town.

Luke's first ride on a horse. He seemed to like it

Giddy up cowboy!

Now I just need some boots.

I'm ready for my bike ride to go and feed the ducks.

Look, I can stuff my mouth full and hold a flag. What a multitalented boy.
See daddy, you finally won and got me to nap after 2 hours of effort.
Daddy, you need some sun.
